Starting Location: Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. We drove our car to the park and then parked in the north parking lot.
Parking: The cost to get in the park is $6 per car or if you are walking or on a bike it is $2 per person. Parking is free once in the park.
Description: At one time there was a scenic miniature train that went through the park. The train is long gone but there are gravel bike trails along where the train used to run. The park has canopied pavement loop that opens up to reveal the Intercoastal Waterway where you can relax under a pavilion and watch the boats go by. There are also gravel trails and dirt trails to ride plus primitive walking trails where it’s possible to walk your bike with you. You can also exit the park on the east side to ride along the beach.
Bike Rentals Availability: Rentals are available at east side entrance.
Amenities: Canoe rentals, Segway rentals, restrooms, water fountains, BBQ grills and pavilions
